NEW WIRE-REINFORCED SILICONE HOSE FOR PHARMACEUTICAL AND CLEAN APPLICATIONS

Southampton, PA — NewAge® Industries’ new division, AdvantaPure™, announces the immediate availability of new APSW Silicone Suction Hose. The 4-ply, wire-reinforced, mandrel-wrapped hose is produced under strict Good Manufacturing Procedures in a tightly-controlled environment and is intended for pharmaceutical, biomedical, food, cosmetic, and other clean applications.

The main component of APSW is low-volatile-grade, platinum-cured silicone, manufactured in our certified Class 1000 clean room. The hose is wrapped with mesh fabric—either polyester or Nomex®—and steel reinforcing wire, then layered with additional silicone. APSW is cured into a homogeneous unit for enhanced pressure and vacuum performance.

APSW has undergone extensive physical, chemical, and biological testing and meets USP Class VI, FDA CFR 177.2600, ISO 10993, and 3A standards. It resists crushing and kinking, chemicals, ozone, radiation, moisture, and temperature extremes. In fact, the hose handles temperatures from -100°F (-73.3°C) to 400°F (204.4°C); up to 450°F (232°C) for Nomex. APSW is sterilizable, and its Nomex fabric variation is particularly resistant to heat and steam aging caused by repeated sterilization. APSW imparts no taste or odor to critical streams.

APSW is offered in nine sizes ranging from 1/2” I.D. through 4” I.D. in 12-foot straight lengths. Two O.D. styles, smooth or convoluted (for easier bending and flexing) are available in both types of mesh fabric reinforcement (polyester and Nomex®). APSW offers smooth interior walls for excellent flow characteristics. All lengths are wrapped in clear polyethylene at manufacture to ensure cleanliness, heat sealed in bags, and then boxed prior to shipment. Each length is lot traceable with identification on bags and boxes.
