Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose Now Available from AdvantaPure™
Offers the Inertness of Fluoropolymer with Increased Pressure Capabilities

Southampton, PA — The AdvantaPure™ division of tubing-and-hose manufacturer NewAge^® Industries, Inc., announces the immediate availability of APFOS Stainless Steel Overbraided PTFE Hose. Manufactured specifically for pure fluid applications (pharmaceutical, biomedical, cosmetic, food, more), APFOS provides long flexural life, low permeability, non-flammability, and the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material, all at higher pressures than unreinforced hose.

The durable stainless steel reinforcement jacket of APFOS reduces kinking and protects the interior. The core, manufactured from virgin, PTFE fluoropolymer material, is available with either a smooth inner surface for maximum flow or with a convoluted interior for enhanced flexibility.

Additional benefits include:

• Working pressures range from 1,000 psi (at 70°F) for the smooth, 1-1/2" I.D. size to 3,375 psi for the smooth, 1/4" I.D. size.
• A wide temperature range: -65°F (-54°C) to 450°F (232°C)
• Four PTFE core styles: white-colored, smooth; black-colored, conductive, smooth; white-colored, convoluted; and black-colored, conductive, convoluted
• No taste or odor transfers to critical streams
• Easily cleaned or sterilized by autoclave, steam, or detergent

Sizes of APFOS hose range from 1/4" through 1-1/2" I.D. for the smooth styles and from 1/2" through 2" I.D. for convoluted. Double braided versions of the smooth I.D. types are offered for additional pressure capabilities. Custom sizes, other overbraiding materials and extruded covers, special cleaning, and custom packaging, as well as crimp fittings and complete hose assemblies, are available.
