Southampton, PA — AdvantaPure™ announces the immediate availability of stainless steel Armor Casing, a protective covering for hoses. Intended to encase rubber or stainless steel overbraided hose, Armor Casing prevents hoses from kinking while still allowing flexibility. It is used on hoses typically found in the food, beverage, diary, chemical, and cosmetic industries and for other process applications.

Rubber covered or stainless steel overbraided hose of fluoropolymer, or other interior rubber materials such as butyl and EPDM, can be subject to harsh environments, rough handling, and situations where kinking may occur. Armor Casing helps the hoses withstand these conditions. Its durable construction protects rubber or braided exterior hose surfaces from abrasion, and its design allows bending but not to the point of kinking—an advantage where hoses must make turns. Crush-resistant Armor Casing provides this protection while allowing the hose inside to remain flexible.

Armor Casing is stocked in sizes to fit hoses ranging from 1/2” to 2” I.D. The casing works in conjunction with crimp rings (also stocked) for secure attachment at the fitting end of a hose assembly. Like Armor Casing, crimp rings are made of stainless steel and offer a smooth, burr-free finish. Armor Casing may be used along the entire length of a hose or at the ends to reduce stress and kink potential at fitting connections.
