Fluoropolymer hose is well known for its high temperature resistance. But when metal coverings like stainless steel are used as an overbraid (for pressure capabilities and protection), heat can transfer to or from the metal. Polypropylene Overbraid solves this issue because it will not conduct the heat. The result is a safer, lighter weight, high performance fluoropolymer hose. The protective Polypropylene Overbraid is also UV stabilized and offers improved abrasion resistance over stainless steel.
With its seamless convoluted core of PTFE, Polypropylene Overbraid for fluoropolymer hose provides better bend radii than smooth-core hose. The convolutions give the hose flexibility to allow for easy maneuvering and handling. It offers a full vacuum rating and increased pressure capabilities (over uncovered hose). Sizes range from 1/2” through 2” I.D.
