The components consist of stoppers and sealing systems for carboys and vessels, bottles, laboratory equipment, and process and storage containers.
AdvantaPure’s Molded Silicone Components are made from Class VI, platinum-cured silicone elastomer for the utmost in purity. Manufactured in-house in a controlled environment, the components offer several advantages:
- Autoclavable, sterilizable, and reusable
- Smooth, gap-free surfaces for a true seal
- Longer life expectancy, more consistent performance, and higher purity than parts made from rubber or similar materials
- No taste or odor transfer
- Excellent chemical resistance properties
- Stoppers available with cored holes for tubing or vents
- Vessel sealing systems available with or without silicone tubing inserts
Molded Silicone Components are biologically safe and work with receptacles of glass, metal, or plastic. The components resist cracking and particle migration and provide a secure, sealed environment. Customization is available and includes colors or special markings for identification purposes.
