Interphex 2010 Proves Successful for Single Use Systems Manufacturer AdvantaPure®
Attendees Show Interest in the Speed & Efficiency of Single Use

Southampton, PA — AdvantaPure, a manufacturer of high purity tubing, hose, molded silicone components, and single use systems, exhibited at the recent Interphex trade show held in New York City. The show is an important meeting place for suppliers and customers in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

AdvantaPure featured its single use processing systems. The systems are manufactured from silicone tubing, molded connections, and critical add-ons such as filters, bags, and bottles. Vaccine manufacturers, drug producers, and vitamin and supplement makers use single use systems to reduce the risk of cross contamination, simplify cleaning validations, decrease downtime, and reduce costs. AdvantaPure’s systems are ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) manufactured.

Also highlighted at the show was the company’s AdvantaFlex® biopharmaceutical tubing. Designed specifically for high purity fluid transfer, AdvantaFlex lasts six-to-ten times longer than similar tubing tested in peristaltic pumps. It’s heat sealable, weldable, and ideal for aseptic tubing welds, as it eliminates costly aseptic connectors and multiple tubing contact surfaces.

The company manufactures platinum-cured silicone tubing and reinforced hose, and these, too, drew attention. AdvantaPure’s silicone products are clean room manufactured and packaged for purity, then stored in a low-particulate-level warehouse. Styles include unreinforced tubing, pump grade tubing, and hose reinforced with braid, mesh, and/or stainless steel wire.

Additional products on display at the show included BioClosure™ Systems, AdvantaPure’s line of silicone container closures; DocuLink™ (patent pending), an innovative method of distinguishing silicone manifolds after installation; and GammaTag® gamma-irradiatable RFID tags.

All of these AdvantaPure items will next be showcased at the Single Use Applications for Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Conference to be held June 14-16, 2010, in La Jolla, CA.
